Three political parties — CPP, GDP and Funcipec
Three political parties — CPP, GDP and Funcipec — held big rallies in Siem Reap province today in the final day of campaign for the general election that will be held on Sunday.
Almost 20,000 members and supporters of Cambodian People’s Party gathered at Kyung Yu field and held a rally led by deputy prime minister and defence minister Tea Banh. In the rally, they used thousands of hundreds of motorbikes and tuk-tuks and hundreds of cars and trucks.

Also, more than 100 members and supporters of Grassroots Democratic Party gathered at Bakong temple to pray. From there they held a march from Bakong to Siem Reap city led by Yeng Virak, president of GDP and Yang Saing Koma, prime ministerial candidate for GDP.

“This is an important historical site because it was here that the Angkor era first started. This is a symbolic place. GDP is a party that has a long vision. We want to restore national pride again, so this place is very important for GDP."

Funcipec Party held a march in only one district — Siem Reap province’s Sotr Nikum district — joined by its 200 members and supporters, Moeun Tony, a member of Siem Reap provincial election committee said.
