The government will today mark the 40th anniversary of the January 7 Victory Day, the turning point of war between the Khmer Rouge and the Vietnamese-backed forces of Prime Minister Hun Sen in 1979.
The annual celebration of the Victory Day – the commemoration of the fall of the Khmer Rouge regime – is all set for today, January 7, after extensive planning and rehearsals done weeks before the special occasion.
Annually on May 9 Russia celebrates one of its main holidays – Victory Day.
