IT wasn’t a typical weekend in Phnom Penh last Saturday. Hundreds of people – all thrilled and excited – gathered at the Chaktomuk Theater to witness for the first time the beautiful and mesmerising royal ballet performance “Neang Watthana Devi”.
Royal Ballet of Cambodia will again mesmerise locals and foreigners with its new production “Neang Watthana Devi” on January 18 and 19 at the Chaktomuk Theatre.
The choreography is similar to the royal ballet of Cambodia though not as refined and is performed along with a narrator and ensemble of traditional pinpeat Khmer instruments.
