Army defeat Police

Ministry of National Defense FC was fortunate to snatch a 2-1 victory over National Police Commissary FC in their Sunday Metfone C-League clash, coming from behind to capture all three points at Phnom Penh’s National Olympic Stadium.
Army had gone behind in only the eighth minute, Noun Borey beating his marker on the right flank to bury the ball into the roof of the net.
Kim Kyong-hun got Army back in the game with 10 minutes of the first period to go, rifling the ball home from six meters in the 34th minute.
Army had to wait until the second period as captain Reung Bunheing volleyed home to hand his side the win.
The victory pushed the Army side up into second place in the league standings on 11 points, a point ahead of Phnom Penh Crown in third. Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng FC still lead at the top with a two-point cushion on 13 points.
