Asean ministers head to Philippines

Foreign Affairs Minister Prak Sokhonn will attend the two-day Asean Foreign Ministers’ Retreat from Monday on Boracay island in the Philippines.
The Foreign Ministry said Asean foreign ministers would discuss threats to security and stability.
The ministers would push the Asean agenda on cooperation with Asean dialogue partners in an effort to maintain Asean’s centrality amid the growing uncertainties of world politics and economiy as well as the evolving regional architecture.
The Asean foreign ministers’ retreats are traditionally a good way to get issues discussed that would be sensitive to talk about during formal meetings.
