PHNOM PENH, (Khmer Times) – Canadia Bank PLC was awarded as the “Outstanding Financial Performance” bank, surpassing more than 30 banks with its achievements.  The numbers are impressive: total assets increased 15.8 percent, net profit grew by over 9 percent, which is U.S. $39.13M . 
 
Anz Royal Bank was honored as the “Outstanding Foreign Bank”, surpassing 10 other foreign banks. It commitsitself to its role as the leading foreign bank in Cambodia, to continue to introduce global best banking practice and products into this developing economy. 
 
Foreign Trade Bank (FTB) is the country’s first and foremost bank. The creative contribution towards Cambodia’s banking system has brought  FTB to the “Outstanding Innovative Product and Service” award. It is  the pioneer in numerous creative products: one of them is introducing Visa prepaid cards to the new, young generation of customers (they don’t need to open an accountanother is introducing dual-currency dispensing ATMs. 
 
Hattha Kaksekar Limited (HKL), has remarkably far amidst 40 microfinance institutions. HKL has achieved the “Outstanding Innovative Product and Service MFI 2014” due to its mobile banking services – My Mobile. It focuses on end users and links to the ATM card to perform financial transactions such as fund transfer, remittance and loanpayment. 
 
Awarded the “Outstanding Customer Orientation MFI 2014″, Angkor Mikroheranhvatho Kampuchea Co.Ltd (AMK) contributed in building the best customer orientation. AMK’s ” Finance at your Doorstep” serves large numbers of poor people in Cambodia. During the first quarter of the year, AMK reached 381,216 customers in 11,541 villages with a loan portfolio over U.S. $84M. 
 
Sathapana Limited has been honored the “Outstanding Retail MFI 2014” for their impressive achievements: covering all 24 provinces and Phnom Penh with their office network of 126 operating offices (total deposits up to U.S. $95M).  The result loan portfolio increased from U.S. $12 M to U.S. $181M at the end of December 2013. 
 
The “Outstanding System Integration Provider” award belongs to Anana Computer, which is dedicated to providing genuine high quality products – advanced technology together with customer professional services.
 
NEEKA Ltd. has proved itself as one of the best information technology solution providers for enterprises as it achieved the “Outstanding System Integration Provider” award.
 
MekongNet was awarded as “Outstanding Customer Service.” It is known as one of the wholesales Internet service providers, (ISP), with the capability of providing high speed and secure Internet connections. 
 
The banking sector has embraced the use of new technologies to serve its clients faster. Emerging technologies have changed the banking sector;  it’s now into “digitized and networked banking services”, and how the banks deliver their services to the customers.
 
The Sixth Cambodia Banking Finance Conference & Awards 2014 was held  June 26,2014 at Intercontinental Hotel Phnom Penh. It was organized by the International Data Group (IDG) ASEAN, and endorsed by the National Bank of Cambodia, the Ministry of Commerce, the Cambodia Micro Finance Association and the State Bank of Vietnam. 
 
The purpose of the awarding ceremony is to provide recognition to the outstanding banks, finance institutions, and ICT companies whose business performance, products,and services support and contribute to Cambodia’s economy development .
 
Mr. Neav Chanthana, Deputy Governor of National Bank of Cambodia, attended the conference and awarding ceremony with Mr. Dang Thanh Binh, Deputy Governor of State Bank of Vietnam and Mr. Tam Le, President and CEO of IDG ASEAN, as event moderator. The event was also attended by leaders of agencies, banks, microfinance institutions and business solutions.
