According to the newly-appointed president of Cambodian Royalist Youth Movement,  Suong Saviet, the first ever royalist youth movement was established by the Funcinpec Party, with the aim of consolidating support to keep the royalist movement alive.

The Funcinpec royalist youth movement has members in the 25 provinces and the capital city of Cambodia, Mr. Saviet said.

President of the Funcinpec Party, Prince Norodom Ranariddh, said that the next generation is the main force to ensure the royalist regime thrives long into the future.

The movement welcomes people from different backgrounds to join together for the national cause, Prince Ranariddh said. The Prince is the honorary president of the Cambodian Royalist Youth Movement.

Prince Ranariddh quoted the late King Father Norodom Sihanouk who urged that “we have to unify a national force with another national force to solve the national issues.”
