Banteay Meanchey provincial authorities yesterday started issuing a new border pass for residents who wish to cross into Thailand for business.
Provincial authorities released a statement on Tuesday informing residents in the province that they are eligible for the new passes, which were agreed upon by both countries.
The statement said the new border pass will cost $5 and be valid for two years for multiple entries in and out of Thailand.
Banteay Meanchey governor Soun Bovor said residents can make use of a one-window service set up for the passes.
“The residents who live permanently in Banteay Meanchey can come to the one-window service at the provincial hall from now on,” he said.
