Businesswomen show their fund-raising prowess

The Cambodia Women Business Federation last Sunday held a fund-raising dinner at the Wat Phnom Arts and Crafts Centre to raise funds for organisations working with the disabled.

The guest of honour was Minister of Women’s Affairs Ing Kantha Phavi.

The federation is a membership-based organisation of women from all business sectors. The objective is to provide a representative platform for women in business, to bring issues to the attention of the government, the business community at large and the media, for the purpose of improving the business environment and facilitating the growth of business activity in which women are constructively involved.

The federation also aims to provide networking opportunities for members, share information, meet with stakeholders and manage industry specific awards.

Last Saturday, the federation also helped raise funds for Phnom Penh’s cyclo-riders at Riverside.
