Japanese government (MEXT) scholarship

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT) is offering scholarships to international teachers who will undertake research on school education at designated Japanese universities. To aim is to foster human resources to forge friendships between the countries of recipients and Japan through studying in Japan, and for recipients to contribute to the development of both their countries and the world.

The University of Leeds is calling for potential applicants to apply for a range of scholarships available for pursuing postgraduate research programmes across all disciplines. For 2018 entry, there are various deadline: January 12, 2018 for engineering; March 9, 2018 for arts, humanities and cultures; biological sciences; environment; mathematics and physical sciences; medicine and health; June 1, 2018 for business, education, social sciences and law.

University of Cambridge free IELTS preparation course

A free online course on IELTS preparation, offered by the University of Cambridge, is opening registration until the course starts for all international students who wish to meet the English language proficiency test standard. By the end of the course, all students will gain more knowledge on what and how to study, both to prepare for the test and to develop their academic English skills.

The Singaporean government is offering up to 240 Singapore international graduate awards or SINGA awards to outstanding international students with a passion for science and engineering research to do PhD training at the National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) or the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).

The Public Affairs Section of the US Embassy is currently offering SUSI for scholars, an intensive post-graduate level academic programme in combination with study tours to deepen understanding of US society, culture, values, and institutions. Susi is for mid-career scholars or professionals who work in the field of US studies, aged 30 to 50, for summer 2018 in the US.

The perspective Cambodia, a platform allowing contestants to share their perspectives and compete on a variety of topics in terms of education, culture, economics, security, politics, and health, is opening applications to all Cambodian candidates aged 18-25 from either the public or private sector with the purpose of increasing their critical thinking skills, and pushing youth to share their perspectives openly.
