Battambang police arrested more than 40 revellers who were disturbing the peace on Sunday night in the provincial town.
Deputy provincial police chief Chet Vanny said his officers arrested the group after noise complaints from local residents.
“In an effort to improve public order, we arrested 45 people and transferred them to the provincial police station for questioning,” he said.
Police said members of the group ranged in age from 17 to 25. Police conducted urine tests on all of them following the arrests.
“After the tests, we found that 21 of the 45 had drugs in their bodies, and five other teenagers, including a burglar, had drug baggies on them,” said Mr Vanny.
“The five who had baggies and drugs on them will be sent to court,” he added.
“The others were allowed to return home after their parents picked them up and they promised to improve their behaviour.”
