Prime Minister Hun Sen has seriously warned that he will respond to former opposition leader Sam Rainsy, who called on the army to turn their cannons to oppose the government and that, he would not allow the war to take place in Cambodia and threatened Mr. Rainsy that he will release the rebel soldiers that was supported by foreigners.

Speaking during a get-together with over 10, 000 workers and employees at O’Dem area. Mr. Hun Sen said that traitors have declared war on Cambodia, and that they had called on the army to oppose the government. The traitors do not know the real situation in Cambodia; the traitors do not know the army in Cambodia.

“They had made similar announcements in 2011 and made calls for the army to oppose the government and yesterday they did it again. Come out and show yourself, and release your rebellion soldiers that has foreign aid,” the premier added. “But, let me tell you, Hun Sen will not allow war to happen in Cambodia. Hun Sen opposed the Pol Pot regime and prevented their return to ensure Peace and Development. We have enforced laws to prevent and avoid war.”

This morning, national police nationwide, strongly reacted to the repeated incitement of Mr. Rainsy, who has tried to incite the armed forces to protest against and help in the overthrow of the Royal Government of Cambodia.

Yesterday Mr. Rainsy, called for the army to turn their cannons to oppose the government and on Jun 4, 2011, in New York, Massachusetts, the United States Mr. Rainsy, had also called on the army and armed forces to come forward and turn their cannons to oppose the government. He said, “Hun Sen’s regime is nearing a collapse and is facing a rebellion.”

This never happened and the armed forces have made strong commitments on their support for the Prime Minister and the Royal Government.
