The Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts is calling for entries of Cambodian lyric and melody compositions toward award finalists 2018.
H.E. Chamroeun Vantha, the advisor to the ministry, made the announcement in a recent press conference organised here in Phnom Penh.
The lyric and melody composition award, he said, intends to promote knowledge and skill as well as original piece of work among Cambodians.
Opening now, the entries can be submitted via email or social media tools of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts.
Except rap, all kinds of original music particularly those with educational meaning that promotes conservation of cultural heritage, land, forest and tradition are strongly encouraged.
Entries can be the work of individual or group and will be selected carefully by a committee of seven skilled members for final decision of the Minister of Culture and Fine Arts.
The award winners will be announced on March 6, 2018, and the best pieces will be compiled into CDs and DVDs.
