TWO Russian tourists were arrested on Saturday for stealing money from a ABA Bank ATM machine in Phnom Penh’s Daun Penh district.

District police officer Lang Richter said Alexander Zametnaya, 31, and Ivan Telenkov, were arrested at one of the bank’s ATMs.

“They were caught red-handed using fake ATM cards to withdraw money,” he said.

He said they were arrested after complaints about foreigners using fake cards to steal money.

After their arrest, police confiscated stolen money and the fake cards. Both have been accused of theft and were being held last night at the district police station.
