Prime Minister Hun Sen has a reputation as a tough leader but there is one person he fears… his wife.
It’s something he shares with other leaders of the Association of the Southeast Asian Nations, who have formed an association named Husbands Scared of Wives.
Mr Hun Sen told nearly 5,000 workers yesterday at Koh Pich he had been appointed chairman.
“Prayuth Chan-ocha [of Thailand] has agreed to be secretary-general and there are two deputies, the prime ministers of Malaysia and Singapore,” he said with a laugh.
Mr Hun Sen told female factory group leaders that 80 percent of men were scared of their wives. He asked them if husbands feared their wives in their own families.
He has joked many times that no matter which animal represents the year in which a woman is born, she turns into a tiger after marriage.
