The Garment Manufacturers Association in Cambodia has requested factory owners to allow their workers to have a half day off after meeting Prime Minister Hun Sen.

“From August 20 until November 22, 2017, Prime Minister Hun Sen had met workers or employees 19 times with 208,640 workers or employees in total,” GMAC said on Wednesday.

“Due to a recommendation of Mr Hun Sen, GMAC would like to request all owners of factories and enterprises to allow your workers to have a half day off after meeting with him.”

Prime Minister Hun Sen said on Wednesday during a meeting with more than 13,000 workers that the workers could have a half day off to enjoy a concert or go back home to rest after meeting him.

“You all can enjoy a half day off and I want to thank the owners of factories who provide the time off to allow the workers to meet with me,” he said.
