Wing, a local provider of mobile banking services, and the National Social Security Fund have signed an agreement to give employers and employees access to cashless payments.
Under the deal, employers are able to transfer workers’ contribution to the NSSF via Wing, a company with a network of more than 5,000 agents across the country.
Likewise, the NSSF can now pay healthcare providers for treatment given to employees’ through Wing.
“The new partnership provides cashless solutions to make for a fuss-free and more efficient payment system, which benefits the NSSF, employers and employees,” said Ruan Swanepoel, senior commercial director at Wing.
“It is a huge significant step in providing convenient and secure financial services to employers and employees. “We will be expanding the relationship in the future, working together to put in place more flexible solutions for sustainable results. This will include payment gateway options for things like maternity benefits,” Mr Swanepoel added.
