A Vietnamese national was yesterday charged with drug trafficking by the Prey Veng Provincial Court over the possession and sale of nearly 350 grams of crystal methamphetamine.
Sok Sokpheak, a provincial military police officer, identified the accused as Nguven Thithou, 30.
“She was an active drug trafficker who always brought drugs for sale to drug users at the slum areas and the Vietnamese communities in the province,” Mr Sokpheak said.
“She was arrested after military police raided her rented house.”
Mr Sokpheak said that the suspect was arrested at about 3.30pm in Prek Khsay commune, where military police seized 23 packages of crystal methamphetamine weighing 348 grams.
