More than 20 houses were damaged by rainstorms on the weekend in Prey Veng province’s Por Reang district.
Chum Sophy, director of the provincial department of water resources and meteorology, said Por Reang commune was worst affected.
About 25 houses were damaged, two of which were demolished.
“Two houses were destroyed and more than 20 lost their roofs or walls,” he said, adding that no one was hurt or injured in the storms.
Mr Sophy said the local authority went to distribute aid to the affected villagers and helped repair their houses.
Nhim Vanda, vice-president of the National Committee for Disaster Management, said earlier this month that at least 70 people died and more than 100 people were injured due to natural disasters in the first nine months of this year.
