As part of another lavish marketing splurge, global real estate firm Knight Frank has recently hired England football legend David Beckham to help promote their country properties. This partnership has also created a platform for Mr Beckham to pitch his new fashion range.
Knight Frank has also partnered with a number of high profile “lifestyle curators” including Soho House star-chitect Martin Brudnizki, the Creative Director of Gucci, and movie star Patrick Dempsey.
In 2007, Mr Beckham purchased a 13,000 square foot, nine-bedroom Italianate villa in Los Angeles for £14.2 million, opting for close personal friend Kelly Hoppen to style the interiors. The property was put up for sale late last year for £24 million, which would provide a £9.3million gross profit.
It is in this regard that many people believe that the Becks-Knight Frank partnership is a decent attempt to persuade wealthy readers to “Buy It Like Beckham”, following his lead into the rural market.
