A man stole his brother’s Lexus RX 330 car and crashed it into a tuk tuk transporting gasoline, causing a large fire in Phnom Penh’s Dangkor district yesterday morning.

Kim Ratana, 38, was arrested after the crash in Dangkor commune, said district police chief Chhim Bunnarath.

Mr Bunnarath said the accused stole a car that belongs to his brother, Kim Ratha, 53, from his brother’s home.

His brother then chased him in another car and notified police of the crime, said Mr Bunnarath.

“After the incident, Mr Ratha decided to file a complaint against his younger brother and asked police to implement the law,” Mr Bunnarath said.

“Now police officials are questioning him and will send him to court afterwards.”
