The National University of Singapore  offers scholarships to all international students to pursue a Ph.D programme at the NUS Graduate School for Integrative Sciences and Engineering. The programme is aimed at providing support to talented students with an aptitude for innovative, high-calibre doctoral research.

Innovation talk shop in China

This fully funded event runs from December 8-11 at the Yenching Academy of Peking University in China. Potential candidates are encouraged to apply for admission to the three-day forum highlighting the theme “Dynamic Solutions for a Sustainable Future” related to climate change and sustainability among other environmental topics. The event is aimed at bringing youth to discuss solutions to some of the most pressing issues facing China and the world.

ASEAN fellowships

Citizens of the 10 Asean member states are invited to apply for the Asean CSR Fellowships, whose purpose is to construct human resources for responsible business in Southeast Asia and provide knowledge in addressing key regional issues including anti-corruption, environmental degradation and human rights for private sector. Fellowships can be conducted in Singapore, Indonesia, Myanmar and Philippines.

The UK government is opening Chevening Scholarships to standout candidates around the world looking to get a unique opportunity to pursue a master’s degree at any UK university, develop professionally and academically, experience UK culture, and build positive relationships and network within the United Kingdom.

YSEALI fellowships

Aimed at boosting the capacity of young leaders and providing a deep understanding of the United States, the YSEALI Academic Fellowships’ spring exchange is open to all outstanding youth aged from 18 to 25. This five-week programme highlights one of three themes: Civic Engagement, Environmental Issues, and Social Entrepreneurship and Economic Development.

US leadership programme

Applicants aged 25 to 38 with good English proficiency from Cambodia are invited to apply for a four-month fellowship to the United States. Selected candidates will learn to develop their leadership and management skills, especially in designing a community development project and implementing it when returning to Cambodia.

Citizen journalism contest

An essay contest, supported by the Asean Foundation and the US Government, is open to prospective youth applicants, who must submit an essay focused on a critical theme for youth in the ASEAN community such as youth entrepreneurship, employment, awareness raising, volunteerism and leadership, and building a resilient community. 20 awardees will be selected from Asean nations.
