A Chinese national and two Cambodians were on Saturday charged with fraud for cheating the casino where they worked in Preah Sihanouk province out of $20,000.

Kuy Sophal, a Preah Sihanouk provincial police officer, identified the suspects as Yao Fengyu, 42, the manager of online games at the casino; Phan Bros, 23, and Neak Vichheka, 19, both card dealers.

Mr Sophal said the three suspects colluded with their friends to have them win at least $20,000 by rigging both online games and card games last week.

Their scheme was discovered by the Vimean Khsarch Sar Hotel and Casino, which notified police, leading to their arrest.

The three suspects have since been detained at the provincial prison.
