The boss of a massage shop in Phnom Penh’s Por Senchey district was charged yesterday with running an illegal prostitution service.
Nheth Sreymom, 45, was accused of letting masseuses have sex with customers in the 168 Massage Shop.
District police officer Touch Vibol said municipal anti-human trafficking and juvenile protection police raided the shop while some masseuses were having sex with clients.
He said police caught six masseuses aged 21 to 30 who were operating as sex workers. Police also recovered used and unused condoms from the rooms.
Ms Sreymom has been sent by the investigative judge to Prey Sar prison. Police sent the masseuses to a municipal rehabilitation centre in Phnom Penh.
