Two gem workers were killed when a mine collapsed on them in Ratanakkiri province’s Lumphat district.

A National Police report identified the victims as Thoeung Rith, 15, and Nhim Thoeung, 25, members of the Tompuon hill tribe who live in Ka Nang village. The accident happened on Friday afternoon in Pa Tang commune, where they were digging for gems.
