Eighty houses were damaged by rainstorms on Friday in Banteay Meachey province’s Monkol Borei district, but no one was killed or injured.
National Police said 30 of the houses in six affected communes were seriously damaged.
District acting-governor Da Synorng said many houses collapsed and some had their roofs ripped off. One pagoda lost its roof.
Provincial police chief Ath Kem and officials went to help people whose homes were damaged. They distributed food and other supplies to help them temporarily.
The storm affected homes in Rohat Teuk, Phnom Touch, Banteay Neang, Kok Balaing, Chamnorm and O’ Prasat communes.
