Prime Minister Hun Sen today once again reminded the public to protect themselves against COVID-19 as the government works to contain the disease” transmission in the Kingdom.
“Though Cambodia is not as modern as other countries, we have expended efforts to improve the health care of all citizens and travellers coming in from every country, both by land and by air. All passengers were screened per the instructions of the Ministry of Health,” said the premier in a Facebook post this morning.
His statement of caution comes following the diagnoses of nine new COVID-19 patients earlier today, all of whom were passengers of the flight which came in from Indonesia on Thursday.
Though a second wave of the virus has not been declared in the Kingdom, Mr Hun Sen said the public as well as business owners must remain vigilant and abide by the health and sanitation measures prescribed by the Health Ministry to mitigate risks of transmission.
