Two butterfly species recorded in Cambodia

Scientists have recently recorded two species of the genus Hidari Distant 1886 for the first time in Cambodia, according to Cambodian Journal of Natural History.

The two species are coconut skipper Hidari irava and veined palmer or cresentric skipper Hidari bhawani de Nicéville, it pointed out.

Those species were listed in the 19th and 20th centuries – the coconut skipper Hidari irava (Moore, [1858]) and veined palmer or cresentric skipper Hidari bhawani de Nicéville [1989]. They were in the genus Hidari Distant 1886. Khan Sophirom/AKP
