More than 100 parents of the students enrolled in PARAGON International School in Phnom Penh’s Chamkar Morn district protested today in front of the school to demand the school management reduce 30 percent of its school fee amid COVID-19 pandemic.
Khneg Narun, one of the parents, said that for the 2020-2021 school year , the school management increased eight percent from its school fee.
“The school management did not discount the tuition but it increased to eight percent. It was more expensive than before. The parents disagreed with the school because it is hard for us to earn money during the COVID-19 outbreak,” Mr Narun said.
He said that the school management should lower the school fee to 30 percent because the students are learning online.
