Prime Minister Hun Sen today issued an order to ban all travel across the country from one district to another in a move to stem the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.
In a letter dated today, Mr Hun Sen said that the government imposed the ban on travel nationwide, including getting in and out of Phnom Penh, and from travelling from one district to another and from one province to another.
“This order becomes effective from 24:00 April 9, 2020 to 24:00 April 16, 2020,” he said.
However, the order allowed all transportation of goods, ambulances, fire trucks, and vehicles belonging to armed forces and civil servants and dump trucks to operate.
It added it also allowed all transports of garment workers permitted by the Labour Ministry and people going to hospitals.
