The Health Ministry has instructed barber shops, salons and public transport firms to ensure their premises and vehicles are kept clean to prevent COVID-19.
A statement also outlines sanitation guidelines which should be strictly adhered to.
Health Minister Mam Bun Heng also advised people to cut down the frequency of visits to barber shops and salons as a precaution against getting infected.
He also said people who go for haircuts should also wear face masks to protect themselves and hairdressers should wash their hands with soap or sanitisers before attending to each customer.
“The ministry thanks all people for joining efforts to prevent the spread COVID-19 among individuals and communities,” he said.
