The Health Ministry has confirmed 10 more cases of COVID-19 in Phnom Penh and three provinces, raising the total to 47.
In a statement issued tonight, the ministry said that four Cambodian people including two who had just returned from religious gatherings in Malaysia and tested positive for the virus.
It said the positive include two Cambodian women in Battambang province, a man in Kandal province and another man in Phnom Penh.
It said that six Malaysian men in Kampong Cham province also tested positive for the virus. They have temporarily stayed in Kang Meas district.
The ministry said that it is taking more specimens for testing.
The World Health Organization is calling for public participation in identifying potential COVID-19 patients in the Kingdom following a surge in newly detected cases earlier this week.
