Cambodia is considering banning entry of Iranians into Cambodia as an added measure to curb the spread of COVID-19.
Prime Minister Hun Sen, speaking at the River Festival in Battambang last evening said that this measure may be required as Iran has not taken adequate measures to combat COVID-19
“We are considering to ban the entry of Iranians. According to Cambodian internal regulations, Iranians can be suspended from entering Cambodia for 30 days to ensure safety in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap,” said Prime Minister Hun Sen.
Cambodia had earlier Saturday, banned entries of foreigners from the United States, Germany, Italy, France and Span and had also banned entry of cruise vessels and boats into Cambodia’s waterways.
