The Send-Off Reception for Mext Scholars

The Japanese Embassy held a send-off reception for the 29 recipients of MEXT Scholarship at the Residence of the Ambassador of Japan last Friday.

The grand annual event was officiated by Masahiro Mikami, the Ambassador of Japan which  also saw the attendance of  Pheat Chhomnan, the representative of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.

The celebration was held at mark the achievement of the Cambodian scholars who went the extra mile to reach their goals and had passed the intense competition. At the beginning of April 2020, the 29 scholars will be leaving to pursue their higher education Master Degrees and specialized skills at different universities in Japan.

The vibrant reception saw a hundred participants joining, comprising professors, parents and family who came to support the students and children on the special day.

The recipients will be leaving at the beginning of April 2020 to continue their studied at universities in Japan. KT/ Som Kanika
