Drunk driver hits house, motorbikes

A Chinese man has been arrested for drunkenly crashing his car into a house in Preah Sihanouk province, injuring two people and damaging nine motorbikes.

Provincial traffic police chief Colonel Prom Pov said 25-year-old Ly Xioaming drove his SUV into the wall of a house after a night out at a local KTV bar.

The casino worker smashed through the wall of the house, destroying property inside and crashing into the motorbikes parked in front of a nearby restaurant.

The two hurt in the incident were not injured seriously.

Col Pov said the man was given a blood alcohol test and found to be drunk.

“We will take legal action against him for causing damage to private property,” he said. “He will be sent to court.”
