Phnom Penh Municipal Court yesterday sentenced two former construction workers to life imprisonment for strangling their supervisor and then trying to hide the crime by tossing his body off the fourth floor of a partially built apartment building.
Chim Sophanna, 29, of Kratie province, and Chhoeun Sokhim, 32, of Takeo province, were working in Daun Penh district when they murdered Thun Saroeun, 33, in January.
Presiding Judge Kor Vandy yesterday sentenced the men after their conviction for premeditated murder. They have the right to appeal against the judgment within 30 days, he said.
Both men were arrested just days after the January 14 murder.
