Deputy prime minister and interior minister Sar Kheng will lead a Cambodian delegations to Turkey on an official visit from July 28 to August 1.
The visit is at the invitation of Turkish interior minister Suleyman Soylu and consented to by prime minister Hun Sen. Sar Kheng will lead a Cambodian the delegation, an Interior Ministry’s press release issued on July 26 said.
“During his visit, interior minister Sar Kheng will meet with Turkish interior minister Suleyman Soylu and will sign a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the security sector between both governments,” the interior ministry said.
Besides bilateral meeting of both interior ministers, Mr Kheng anddelegated will visit law enforcement units which are under the interior ministry of Turkey.
Last month, Prime Minister Hun Sen met with Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Tajikistan to boost ties and trade.
Mr Hun Sen said that he wanted to see bilateral trade between the Kingdom and Turkey to reach $1 billion in the future.
“To carry out this work, [we] should make lists of goods that can be imported and exported between the two countries.” he had said.
