The company will be deploying Internet of Things (IoT) and IT services to CCTG’s $1.5 billion (RM6.2 billion) mixed development project in Phnom Penh.
The project, called The City Gate, involves the development of office buildings, a commercial complex, an arts centre, a cultural square, resorts, a condominium building, a five-star hotel, an exhibition centre and a public park.
The project, expected to be valued at no less than $100 million, is located along the Tonle Sap river.
Dato Larry Liew Kok Leong, ARB Berhad executive director and CEO, said, “Today’s signing marks ARB’s maiden foray into Cambodia IoT project, a country with the youngest population in Asean.”
He pointed out that in the Kingdom 60 percent of the population is under the age of 30.
“IoT is on everyone’s lips, and it is a simple yet flexible concept that aims to enhance the quality of work, live and play.
“Our intention is to incorporate the IoT element, which includes smart devices, wireless switch, smart healthcare, security cameras, video intercom, HD video conference, connected AV and home network systems. This will allow the users to do less to create a smart life,” Dato Larry Liew added.
ARB Berhad also entered into a MoU with HK Yue Tai Life Insurance (HKYT Life Insurance) to provide an ERP system and related hardware and software.
The project is valued at $20 million (RM82.8 million).
