Following its extremely successful second tax forum in Phnom Penh, attended by well over 500 people, Eurocham will tomorrow, June 7, hold its second annual “Siem Reap Tax Forum” at the Sokha Angkor Hotel.
Registration starts at 7:30am and the event commences with welcoming remarks by Mr Arnaud Darc, chairman of Eurocham, at 8:00am. The tax forums by Eurocham are their most popular events and are normally fully attended.

The last 12 months have been packed with regulatory changes, with material Prakas’, Instructions, Guidelines, and Notifications from both the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training (MLVT) and the General Department of Taxation (GDT). The Tax Forum will substantially cover recent changes with participation not only from industry experts of the leading tax, accounting and legal firms, but also with active participation by the General Department of Taxation, through Panel Discussions and Question and Answer sessions.
His Excellency, Mr Kong Vibol, director general of the GDT will honour the forum with opening remarks which have proven to be insightful, not only in regard to tax collection performance and the implementation and execution of recent tax department initiatives, but also on future plans and changes on the horizon.
Other GDT participants include H.E. Eng Ratana, director, Department of Large Tax Payers, H.E. Mr Vann Puthipol, deputy director GDT, Mr TY Sokhon, director, Department of Small and Medium Taxpayers, and Mr Lim Delux, director, Department of Information and Communication Technology.
The hot topics covered this year are Seniority Payments, Fortnightly Salary Payments, Transfer Pricing, Interest Rates on Related Party Loans, SME Tax Incentives, Khmer Riel Invoices, Tax Audit Changes, and the impending implementation of Personal Income Tax.
Eurocham Tax Committee chairman, Clint O’Connell, will discuss recent tax changes, Group CEO of Cambodian Investment Management, Anthony Galliano, will present on tax for SMEs, Socheat Chum of R&T Sok & Heng speaks on Audit and Tax Resolution, and Ms Kimsroy Chim of Deloitte will tackle Seniority Payments.
There is a morning and afternoon joint panel discussion with industry professionals and GDT representatives, followed by audience Questions and Answers.
