Police at Ministry of Interior on Friday sent a facebook hacker to Phnom Penh municipal court for legal action after he cheated tens of thousands of dollars from victims.

Lieutenant General, Chea Pov, chief of Anti-Technology Crime department at Ministry of Interior told Khmer Times that his department received many complaints from the facebook users that they have been hacked and hacker used their account to extorting money from their relatives.
Police identified the suspect as Krouch Sichhay, 22, live in Phnom Penh’s Sen Sok district was arrested on Wednesday, police claimed he is one of the talents facebook hacker among many who have been arrested previously.
“After he hacked an account he chats to relative or friends to transfer money,” he said. “The facebook users he hacked are the ordinary people and civil servants as well and he cheated tens of thousands of dollars before being arrested.”
According to Mr. Pov police have been investigated for weeks before reaching to the arrested of the perpetrator who confessed that he has hacked some 200 facebook accounts and among those he used about 50 accounts to cheated money from relatives or friends of the users.
