Korean language teacher killed in school slaying

A woman and a man were attacked on Monday night while they were sitting in the school compound in Kampong Cham province’s Stung Trang district. The motive remains unknown, police said.

According to Stung Trang district police report, a woman, identified as Hy Theavin, 24, Korean language teacher while the  man was identified as Mao Sokminh, 21.

The report noted that the attack happened between 10 pm and 11 pm on Monday night in a Primary School compound in Stung Trang district’s Prek Kak commune.

Mr Sokminh was sent to the district referral hospital for treatment, it said.

Lieutenant colonel Chea Thearith, deputy Stung Trang district police chief, confirmed that a woman was killed while a man was in critical condition.

“A woman was killed and her body was naked,” Lt Col Thearith said “Now police officers are investigating the case so I cannot make more comment.”
