One of the largest South Korean commercial banks KB Kookmin Bank celebrated the 10th anniversary of its Cambodian subsidiary, Kookmin Bank Cambodia PLC, in a grand ceremony at the Phnom Penh Hotel on May 4.
Chief executive officer Park Yong Jin, in his opening remarks, expressed his gratitude towards all employees that helped elevate the bank’s reputation since it first opened on Cambodian soil back in 2009.
“Let us look towards the future and work together to make our great dream of becoming a ‘happy’, leading bank come true. An overall happy bank is a place where our KB family members work in a happy environment and strive towards providing services that make our customers happy too.
“A leading bank is not just about being a big bank but being a financial establishment, which changes the world via revolutionary systems and products. We can achieve this goal that if we work together,” he said during the event, which was met with a round of applause by his peers.
The event, which was commemorated with a special cake-cutting ceremony and a photo session, saw the attendance of all 170 employees from six different branches in the Kingdom. They banded together for a fun night consisting of great food, music, games and various forms of entertainment.
Mr Park also took the opportunity to hand over the certificates and trophies for the 10-year Service Award to a handful of dedicated employees who have been there since day one.
The Grand Ballroom of Phnom Penh Hotel also witnessed another bout of cheers during the lucky draw session where several lucky staff won unique prizes, before the auspicious ceremony came to an end.
The joyous occasion successfully captured the milestones of Kookmin Bank Cambodia PLC and how far it has come since it commenced operations one decade ago.
