PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA – Japan’s leading life insurance provider Dai-ichi Life just opened its Cambodia office at Vattanac Capital on April 24, 2019. Dai-ichi Life Cambodia is a subsidiary of Dai-ichi Life Holdings, Inc. (Tokyo) founded in 1902 and it’s the first Japanese life insurer in the Kingdom.
The momentous milestone encompassed three main events – internal launch at the Dai-ichi Life Cambodia office, followed by a Press Conference and announcement of the Cooperation between Dai-ichi Life Cambodia and Vattanac Bank held at the Rosewood Hotel. The cooperation will enable Dai-ichi Life to utilize the network of Vattanac Bank and reach Cambodian consumers much faster. The launch was concluded by a gala dinner held at the Sofitel Phnom Penh.
The said events were initiated by the Chief Executive Officer of Dai-ichi Life Cambodia, Mr. Allen Thai and supported by global offices headed by Mr. Seiji Inagaki, President of Dai-ichi Life Holdings and representatives from Vietnam and Asia Pacific Head Quarters, Singapore. The success of the launching was witnessed and supported by high ranking excellences from Ministry of Economy and Finance, representatives of various banks and notable press & media.

Madam Nguon Sokha – the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy and Finance said during the gala dinner: “I strongly believe that the presence of Dai-ichi Life Cambodia will contribute to the development of life insurance industry in Cambodia through its experience, knowledge and expertise in the Life Insurance Industry accumulated over 100 years.”
