PRASAC, a leading financial institution in Cambodia, has become the newest member of the SME Finance Forum, an organisation that works to expand access to finance for small and medium businesses.

Established in 2012 by the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion, the SME Finance Forum is managed by the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

It is a global membership network that brings together financial institutions, technology companies, and development finance institutions to share knowledge, spur innovation, and promote the growth of SMEs.

“Membership with the SME Finance Forum will support us in positioning ourselves as a market leader with the largest branch networks, high return, and loan portfolio, with a proven record of sustainable growth,” Say Sony, PRASAC chief marketing manager, said.

“More than 200 million businesses worldwide need financing to invest, grow and create new jobs. We are proud to have PRASAC join our network of 150 members who work to expand access to finance for small and medium businesses,” said Matthew Gamser, CEO of the SME Finance Forum.

PRASAC is the largest and leading microfinance deposit taking institution (MDI) in providing financial services to Cambodian people.

With a network of 177 offices and 126 ATMs across Cambodia, PRASAC’s services include credits, deposits, water and electricity bill payments, transfers, money exchange, phone top-up, and payroll services.
