Metfone C-League champions, NagaWorld were humbled 10-0 by Hanoi FC in their Group F clash at the Hang Day Stadium in Vietnam yesterday evening. Naga are competing for Cambodia in the ASEAN region AFC Asian Cup 2019 and are also up against Tampines Rovers (Singapore), and Yangon United from Myanmar.
NagaWorld never looked like getting anything from the game and found themselves 4-0 down at half-time, before the hosts added six more in the second period.
Coach Meas Channa’s men will have to improve fast if they are to prove themselves on the regional stage. Their next group match will see them welcome Yangon United on March 12.
