Laorealestate.la has partnered with both the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LNCCI) and Yula.la to host the first ever real estate expo in Laos.

Taking place at Vientiane’s Don Chan Palace Hotel on March 1 and 2, the Lao Real Estate Expo 2019 is free for all guests. It marks a turning point in the property sector of the country. All of Laos’ leading names are set to attend.

Daovone Phachanthavong, vice president of the LNCCI, said: “We are proud to be a part of the first real estate investment expo in Laos. Ultimately, events such as these will develop the whole sector and the wider economy. It will boost networking and information sharing.”

Indeed, over 40 of the leading real estate firms will be exhibiting at the show – everyone from developers to architects, agents, land vendors, banks, insurance companies and law firms. Other luxury brands such as carmakers will also be represented.

Laos welcomes international investors

Many note that Laos is following a path similar to Cambodia and will turn up on the radar of more international investors in the coming years. The event is expected to draw over 3,000 attendees. Many of them are expected to be investors from abroad.

“Those seeking international investment, travel, immigration and education options will benefit from a range of exhibitors advertising opportunities in destinations such as Australia, USA, Europe, Malaysia and Thailand – to name a few,” said James Whitehead, CEO of Yula.la and Laorealestate.la.

Mr Whitehead added that the event will host a seminar room with over 20 speakers who will talk about a range of topics in the industry. Headsets will be available for translating speeches into Lao, English and Chinese.

“The seminar room will offer a totally free opportunity for property buyers to learn about taxes, valuations, land laws, investment considerations, market trends and how to finance a home safely, among many other topics.”

Industry waits for the exciting event

Both foreign and local investment into real estate has ramped up over the past few years. China’s One Belt, One Road Initiative has plans for a wide range of infrastructure projects in Laos.

Many in the sector say this expo couldn’t have come at a better time.

“This event will provide the perfect platform to celebrate Laos’ real estate industry and to showcase the opportunities this market has to offer to both end-buyers and investors,” said Dominick William, CEO of APA Insurance Laos, the main sponsor of the expo.

“As a leading local provider of property and construction insurance, as well as mortgage protection insurance, APA Insurance is delighted to support expo, and we very much look forward to welcoming guests to Don Chan next month.”

Win a free trip

International visitors could even manage to go to the expo for free. There will be a host of prizes and giveaways at the event, including free international travel vouchers. So, if you fly there and win, it’s like your plane ride didn’t cost anything!
