Phnom Penh, 17 January 2019 – AirAsia, the World’s Best Low Cost Airline for 10 years running according to Skytrax, has continually introduced flights to Cambodia and connects the country to 130 different destinations throughout Southeast Asia and Asia, inviting its people to expand their horizons.
AirAsia currently flies from the 3 Cambodian cities of Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanoukville on 6 routes, namely; Phnom Penh-Bangkok (Don Mueang), Phnom Penh-Kuala Lumpur, Siem Reap-Bangkok (Don Mueang), Siem Reap-Kuala Lumpur, Siem Reap-Phuket and Sihanoukville-Kuala Lumpur. Moreover, the airline offers over 110 connections to places including South Korea, Japan, Bali, Hong Kong and Singapore.
In 2018, AirAsia transported over 1.26 million passengers to and from Cambodia, maintaining a Load Factor Average of 78% percent that has only shown signs of climbing. Its passengers traveled for tourism, trade and investment and supported economic growth in 3 countries Cambodia, Malaysia and Thailand.
