The Anti-Drug Police arrested the head of a drug-trafficking ring ringleader who has been in hiding/on the run for almost four years. He was convicted in absentia and sentenced to life imprisonment.
According to the Anti-Drug Department’s report (Saturday, Jan.12) Dam Nha was arrested in Phnom Penh on Friday, Jan. 11.
In 2015, the police cracked down on drug trafficking and confiscated 54 kilograms of heroin, methamphetamine and marijuana. They also arrested four persons; Mr Nha was one of them.
He was a top rank drug-trafficker; the courts found him guilty of this crime in 2016. They sentenced him to a $15,000 fine and a life behind bars.
