MLC Approves Projects for Cambodia

Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Foreign Ministers’ Meeting approved new projects financed to the LMC’s countries which Cambodia will receive about $8 millions for its projects.

According to press statement of Foreign Affairs Ministry on Monday, Hor Namhong, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, led a Cambodian delegation to attend the 4th LMC Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Lao.

It said that the Meeting approved the List of new projects financed under the Lancang Mekong Cooperation (LMC) Special Fund 2018.

The statement added that 19 out of total 138 projects which are for Cambodia with a total worth approximately USD 8 million.

“These projects mostly cover activities related to capacity-building, education, research and exchanges,” read statement, adding that last year Cambodia received 16 projects worth approximately USD 7 million, out of which 2 were completed and 14 others are having substantive progress.
