The Ministry of Public Works and Transportation yesterday launched the Road Care mobile application in order to encourage citizens to report damaged roads.
Minister Sun Chanthol said during the launch that the app was created to strengthen communication between citizens and teams tasked with repairing damaged roads.
“They can send information through this app to have the ministry take action and repair roads immediately,” Mr Chanthol said. “Leaders can monitor how much time it takes for a damaged road to get repaired.”
Heang Sotheayoth, director of Information Technology and Public Relations at the ministry, yesterday said the app is now available on Android and iOS.
“This app is fast and smart. Anyone can report a location to have repairs done,” Mr Sotheayoth said. “No two official will inspect the same report.”
Soenchan Visal, a student in Svay Rieng province, yesterday said the app will help address the issue of damaged roads.
